ScreenLock is a macOS utility that locks your keyboard, mouse and trackpad. It is built to do that and nothing else.
Nothing. ScreenLock does not collect, transmit or store any personal data. It has no analytics, no accounts, no advertising and no tracking, and it makes no network connections.
Your settings (your chosen shortcut, dimming level, and the on/off switches) are saved locally on your Mac through the standard macOS preferences system. They never leave your device and are not readable by anyone else.
To lock and unlock input, ScreenLock watches for your chosen shortcut and, while locked, blocks other keyboard and pointer events. It does not record, log, store or transmit anything you type or click. Input handling happens entirely on your Mac, in memory, for the moment it is needed.
The version downloaded from this site asks for macOS Accessibility access. That permission is used solely to intercept input while the screen is locked. It is not used to read your screen or your keystrokes. The Mac App Store version runs without this permission.
